Minor Eye Injuries

Have you suffered minor eye injuries as a result of an accident which was not your fault?

Minor eye injuries generally last for a few weeks and have no permanent symptoms. The most common cause of eye injuries in the UK is work accidents - depending on the cause of the injury you could claim compensation.

If you work in an area which may be prone to eye injuries, such as a dusty environment, you should be provided with protective eye wear to minimise the risk of eye injuries. Equally, if you work with dangerous chemicals, or use power tools which may result in flying debris, you should also be supplied with sufficient personal protective equipment (PPE). If you are not provided with such equipment, and suffer an eye injury as a result, your employer may be held liable for your eye injury claim.
