A transaction involving a buy out can take forms including Management Buy Outs (MBO), Management Buy In’s (MBI) and Investor Buy Out’s (IBO).
In our experience when management is involved, it can be a highly sensitive area when the status quo is altered from existing working relationships of employer and employee to buyer and seller. Moreover, there can be a monumental difference in what management is aware of and what the seller will know or vice versa. This situation will ultimately call for commercial acumen to appreciate and navigate through these issues.
